I didn't see anything in the rules, but maybe missed it?

Anyway to get rid of an ally or conjuration to make room for a new one, or just have to wait for someone to get removed from an attack or something?

You cannot remove them yourself, they can only be removed by the actions of others.

Nope, your units are there until they die. You have to plan your battlefield pretty carefully compared to your spellboard (where you can meditate stuff away).
