Hi from Germany,
each game turn of WARFIGHTER might quickly turn into a challenge (keep up the chance to fulfill the mission, and keeping your brave team of soldiers alive).
The myriad of options and influences prevent any mission to be the same as a previous one.
Here is an example of just 2 game turns (of a 15 turns mission where the objective is deep within enemy territory).
The team approached the sleepy village.
In order to succeed in such a demanding situation, it's a good advice to make a plan first. Although ... the best plan collapses when encountering a determined opponent.
Keep it simple, stupid! Chaos will come early enough.
WARFIGHTER turns into a very intense game once the action starts. The team is very effective when exploiting its cards. But also keep in mind that you need some actions to "resupply" by Discard & Draw. This is a great simulation reflecting the leader's need to reassemble her/his mind and prepare for the next step.
The team's attack went very well as all opponents were eliminated. But each location has its peculiarities.
The moment, the team stays in place, the trouble starts. Preparing the next move is key.
The mission continues.
WARFIGHTER is fun to play; and one never stops learning doing things better. Next time.
