I voted 1. 5 isn't even that bad of a movie. Better than 3, and a little worse than 4. My order is 2,6,4,5,3,1.

#1 is my favorite. The other X were just glorified TV episodes.

This is a trick to make us think in detail about these two films, isn't it?

5 is worse, because by then, they should have figured out how to make a good one. #1 has the excuse of being first, so you can give it a break for not being as good as some later ones.

Good point and I agree, but I voted 1 because I think I could sit through five if I had to. I don't believe I would ever make it through "TMP" again. The pacing is awful, it's very hard for me to watch.

Well, there is that. There is a lot of you sitting there, watching them sitting there, watching something on the main view-screen. For minutes and minutes. And minutes. snore

Yup. And that's why it's hard to imagine ANY Star Trek movie being worse than 1.
