Since I started playing this game (and liked it very much), I did some research on the PLA OOB used in the game, and realized that quite some of them were outdated or inaccurate. This should not affect the game play, and doesn't change the fact that this is a great game, and I enjoyed it very much! But as a reality matter it does cause some problems for nerds like myself who would want to feel like I'm commanding a real war.
Below are the current PLA OOB used in the game and all corrections / comments are in brackets and CAPITALIZED. Not suggesting that GMT should update these counters but just for the information of who is interested to know. Note units below that don't have a unit designation don't have a unit designation (not because I missed), e.g. armored regiment or AA regiment, etc. They should follow respective superior unit's formation ID.

In addition to Xray's corrections it might be time to reconsider the PLA OB as described in the NW series given the PLA began a massive reorg in 2015. These reforms include the redesignation, reorganization, consolidation, disbanding and/or transfer of group armies and divisions.

Bottomline, almost the entire PLA OB as described in NW Taiwan, Korea, and India is obsolete.

Recognizing that OB can be a controversial issue...I offer Blasko's article from 2017 that covered some of the main changes.

https://jamestown.org/program/known-unknown-changes-plas-gro...

Will NW Vietnam capture some of this? And if so, is there any intent to address the OB changes -- which is more than just unit designations -- in the other games in the series?

Excellent, will the updated OBs featured in NW:V or NW:K overlap with the ones in NW:T? Or will the NW:V OB mainly focus on Southern Theater units and not really cover East, Central, or Northern Theater assets?

I guess I'm trying to understand if future linked games will have a mix of pre- and post-reorg units...

Thanks!

It looks like we'll be able to add a new OOB for the PRC to Supplement #2's sheet.

See this thread for details.
