The last two weeks I’ve been on vacation. Or more accurately a staycation. I’ve been trying to rest up, though it hasn’t stopped me from starting to get the Volume 2 work under way.

So a quick update on progress so far:

(1) The materials for C3i #29 have been delivered. This includes 20 squadron counters, 10 Experte counters and two scenarios—one set in Tunisia and the other in Egypt. These scenarios support the counters, which are for desert Spitfires (both RAF and American), A-20s and Kittyhawks in desert drag.

(2) I delivered the marketing materials for the volume 2 game, Wing Leader: Supremacy 1943-1945. The game is now in pre-order and I’m hoping to be able to deliver the game in roughly ten months or so.

(3) I’ve worked up a bunch of candidate volume 2 scenarios for testing. These include:

Asso di Bastoni. Macchi Veltros of the ANR and Bf 109s against big 15th AF raid with light P-38 escort. Lots of high-altitude work.

The Death of Jagdgeschwader 1. Operation Bodenplatte and JG 1's attack on the Sint Denijs-Westrem airfield. Fw 190s up against a Polish wing.

First Blood on D-Day. JG 2 hammering 9AF P-47s and Typhoons in force, putting the lie to the myth about no Luftwaffe presence on D-Day.

Operation 60,000. The Black Sea Fleet’s attack on German/Romanian convoys into Sevastopol, May 1944.

In the meantime I know some of the testers are at work on their own scenarios. One in the initial stages of testing is a scenario on the 'Black Friday' attack on Norway's Førde Fjord in Feb 45. RAF Mustangs and Beaufighters up against destroyers and 190s.

Thanks Lee. Any chance we'll see B-17s, B-24s and B-29s?

Hi Lee, thank you for the great game. Will there be the errata aircraft card in the new c3i that you supplied as a download before?

Hope that you find time to rest.
Best,
Eren

A very high chance, I'd say.

No. I don't yet know what I'm going to do about that data card or if or when there will be a replacement.

No. I don't yet know what I'm going to do about that data card or if or when there will be a replacement.

It seems like C3i would be the perfect way to deal with it.

Possibly. I'd have to talk with Rodger Mac about that. It would require a special die to produce.

Given the special nature of the ADCs, perhaps including a corrected card in volume 2 would be the way to go.

It's a possibility, but it would compete for slots for ADCs for late war scenarios. Would it displace an ADC we need for the second volume?

There are a number of other possibilities, including putting it in an expansion following the second volume release. We'll have to see.
