Are there restrictions on a dummy moving three hexes? (I suppose not. I also suppose you have to then look like you're fiddling with a fuel counter?)

Can shadowing air sector assets be "shot down"? Can you scramble against them?

Thanks

Nope. Per 5.1, "Forces and Dummies... may move at one of four speeds as the player chooses, but never faster than their slowest unit." What a Dummy's "slowest unit" is depends on what you're trying to emulate.

Unless you want your opponent to say, "You're not fooling anyone."

No. Per 6.3.5, this opportunity should never arise, because "Shadowing must also end if the enemy force... enters a hex... adjacent to an airbase hex with Interceptors [1.1.2]."

Ahhh, thank you Chris. Want you to know that I had p500 the game but was frustrated with the rules. A few weeks ago I read an article on the convoys and was inspired to try again. For two of my three long-weekend days I was very dedicated. I've now pre-ordered the expansion. Looking forward to the 2nd edition rules.

As are we all! I've been working on them so long I have to be careful not to refer to them when fielding questions like yours.
