Introduction
In Mini Course 1 we have seen that in a 3 Kings against 1 King situation you can win, if you own the Main Line. However when your opponent occupies the Main Line you need 4 Kings to win. Some of those Kings may be replaced by cleverly positioned pawns, as will be obvious at the end of the Mini Course.
So where to position them? All you have to do is to place your Kings on fields 19, 23, 28 and 32. If you have common men at fields 28 and/or 32 the trick will also work. The single black Kings is safe nowhere, as displayed in the 4 possible game situations below. I've turned them into exercises, so there is something to do for the lazy reader!

Applies to:
* Brazilian Checkers
* Pool Checkers
* Russian Checkers
* Spanish Checkers

Main Line: The diagonal line that runs from the lower left to the upper right from field 29 to 4.

I've added this one only for completeness.

1. 19-12 30x16
2. 12x19

Less than 4 Kings against 1 King
If you have less than 4 Kings, but 4 pieces on the board, you should promote your common men to Kings. However that is going to be a problem if the black King is on the Main Line.

Catch the King
Spoiler (click to reveal)

1. 12-8 29x4
2. 16-11 4x27
3. 32x23

Ofcourse in your games this situation will show up in many variations. It is also possible to sacrifice one man, if that will lead to a promotion on field 4. You simply apply the stuff learnt from Mini Course 1.
