How do you keep track of how many Wall Street actions have taken place so that you know when 8 have happened?

You can use two dice and use the pips as markers.

OK but these aren't in the game and there seems to be no 'formal' method to track this. I take it that I'm not missing something, you just need to make your own provision?

We used a giant 8-sided die, moving it along the shares printed at the bottom of the map to show which round it was and which company was operating.

Worked fine, but it's a shame this wasn't considered during the game's graphic design.

Just had a first play and its very poor that this important game clock has been totally ignored. There is ample space on the board and play testing must have flagged that this is needed. Expecting people to invent their own means to track time is not acceptable.

In the original game, there was no Wall Street limit - it was suggested by Winsome as a variant, but they didn't seem entirely thrilled by the notion of what that could do to the game. As it seems Queen has done a very direct translation of the game, which did not feature components for tracking that situation either, it seems they neglected to create a means for tracking the info.

Personally, if playing by the 8 rule, I would use a stack of $500 poker chips (or the largest denomination of paper money) off to the side, removing one each Wall St.

We used a $100 coin and slid it over the 8 track cost hexes.

If you look at the top and bottom of the Dividend paid track you will see 8 diamonds across the board, we slid a $100 coin across those.
