Exclude from the game all nemesis, power ups, resources, story cards and agents. Hero skills (either ready or supporting) are not playable. Victory condition: play 3 full turns.

By playing without nemesis the games becomes much simpler to grasp for new players. Same goes for story cards, power ups and events. Combat is made simpler by dropping agents (secondary effects could also be removed to further simplify the first games).

New players then just need to focus on understanding the basics of the game:

_ plot points: how to get them, how to use them
_ actions: movement, healing and troubleshooting only
_ trouble level determination (no scheming involved)
_ simplified combat (no special skills, no agents, no allies, possibly no secondary effects, no master plans)
