Due to dominant hand issues I couldn't hand paint the figures even if I wanted to. I have though spray painted some figures in other games and I'm happy with them. I like them better than stock grey.

What do you think? I only have base set and Han so far.
What single color for each figure?

I live in the city of Gulf, on the shores of Lake Water. This fun fact has nothing to do with this badge you're pointing at.

Wow I love it. That's a fantastic way to make everything look nicer without the crazy amount of work needed to paint them up individually.

Maybe you could give the dipping method a go: http://chicagoskirmish.blogspot.hu/2012/01/with-liberty-and-...

I like those metallics a lot. Seems like a really good result for relatively little work.

The first figures I ever painted were simply dipped. It was fast and easy and made the details pop without any time or experience. There are even different colored dips.

for the AT-ST, I primed it with white and inked/dipped it with black. Done.

Prime Garkhan with white and ink him with brown or a blend of black and red. His features will pop and he won't take any time or skill.

I primed Vader with black and dry brushed him with gold. Looks great. Took 10 minutes of work plus drying time.

So, when you ask "what single color for each figure?" I assume you are thinking of using a bunch of different colors, but only painting (or spraying) one color per figure.

If I'm reading you right, then I would suggest something like Star Troopers should be white, Royal Guards red, Nexu dirty tan, Gaarkhan brown, Probe Droids metallic gray -- so also A-T/S-T -- Imperial Officers green, Trandoshan Hunters orange....

Just some thoughts. Have fun.
