I like games that are short, easy to understand, accessible for families and non gamers but still very fun for seasoned gamers and adults. I hear good things about this series and i know they all have different mechanisms.

But I was wondering: is there anyone who'se played all or most of them and can comment? I'm considering Red Riding Hood and Tortoise and the Hare but maybe others can steer me specifically? I don't have a favorited mechanic. For me, fun factor is biggest thing.

I have played all 5 with my 3 year old son (as well as other groups). Here are both of our opinions.

Three little pigs: this is fun, but kinda just a worse version of King of Tokyo. I like playing it with my son. With adults there isn't quite enough to this. My son likes this one.

Babba Yaga: This is really light. The activity is kinda fun the first time, but quickly gets old. As an activity with young kids this is better than candyland, but that is where it ends.

Hare and Tortise: This is an objectively great game. The fact that it appeals to kids is really just a bonus. This is the best of the bunch.

Ant and grasshopper: I like how unique this game feels. It is surprising how long this can hold my son's attention. From a collection perspective, I like having this as another option. This feels the most fiddly of the bunch.

Red riding hood: I like solo games, and my son loves playing this one with me. This is a quite simple game, but in a good way.

Rankings:

Me:
1. Hare and Tortise
2. Red Riding Hood
3. Ant and Grasshopper
4. Three Little Pigs
5. Babba Yaga

My son:
1. Red Riding Hood
2. Grasshopper And The Ant
3. Three Little Pigs
4. Hare and Tortise
5. Babba Yaga

I've played some of these and can comment.

Three Little Pigs: I play this as a filler with adults and we always laugh and have a good time. Pretty light though.

Hare & Tortoise: Easily the best of the bunch. Excellent little betting game.

Red Riding Hood: Fun, but I always have a hard time explaining the rules to people. It's push your luck, and once you get a hang of it a nice little bluffing game.

Pied Piper: Very fun, easy to learn, and great components. Nice and short too.

1. Hare & Tortoise
2. Red Riding Hood
3. Pied Piper
4. Three Little Pigs

I'm really excited to see the Aladdin game when it comes out though!

For the people who ranked them, did you happen to have also played the 2 newer ones to add them into the rankings too?

Updated Rankings:

Me:
1. Hare and Tortoise
2. The Pied Piper
3. Red Riding Hood
4. Ant and Grasshopper
5. Aladdin and the Magic Lamp
6. Three Little Pigs
7. Baba Yaga

My sons (now 3 and 5):
1. Hare and Tortoise
2. Baba Yaga
3. The Pied Piper
4. Red Riding Hood
5. Grasshopper And The Ant
6. Aladdin and the Magic Lamp
7. Three Little Pigs

The Pied Piper is a fun game. Certainly a little "take that," but visually appealing, just the right length, and easy to understand.

Aladdin and the Magic Lamp is interesting, but feels a little complicated for what it is.
