Hi All,

It’s time to broadly propose the running of Brisbane tournaments for Squad Leader in any/all of its basic forms for 2016!

The format of meeting individually at our leisure to play a series of rounds over a period of months on a no-fee basis worked ok again in the ASL tourney this year, with an 8 player draw being filled. Michael T from the Gold Coast was the happy victor! Our active numbers are still limited though, and the key active players in the SLAB group still have very busy and unpredictable schedules, so it is proposed that a similar format will continue for 2016.

So I'd like to propose the running of tournaments as follows:
• Players meet individually at their leisure to play their rounds, forwarding the results as the rounds are played until we have a winner (over a period of months if necessary)
• Rounds must be face-to-face to preserve the local association flavour of the tournaments
• Players outside the Brisbane area are very welcome to be involved, but should not expect other players to travel outside the Brisbane area in order to meet
• Beginners are encouraged, and players do not have to own game components in order to participate (arrangements will be made to cover this)

If you think you might like to participate, or you’d like to suggest alternative formats, please reply stating one or more of the broad forms of the game in which you are interested.

ie: Squad Leader (SL), Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit (ASLSK), Advanced Squad Leader (ASL).

Further specification of tournament timing and format, and rules standards will be discussed later with those who indicate their interest.
