So the rules specifically state that peril cards to not affect familiars, but what about the Encounter cards?
All questions relate specifically to familiars treated as heroes (such as the reanimate).
(Going from Memory here as I don't have the cards in front of me)
For instance, Passages to the Past, when entering an empty space, heroes test perception (or will?) if they fail, remove the hero from the map and place them adjacent to the hero furthest from the exit.
Do Familiar make (and fail) the check when entering an empty space? (ie are they treated as heroes for the effects of the card?)
Does a failing hero need to be placed adjacent to a familiar?
If a familiar with 'burning' stands next to a vent in 'Incinerator' does that end the encounter (Boom)?
If a familiar is killed during Glimmerek Halls, does that end the encounter?
Q: What cards and rules affect or target familiars?
A: Familiars are only considered heroes for Activation cards. When text
on Peril cards, Exploration cards, the cooperative adventure rules, or the
encounter guide references heroes or hero figures, it is not referring to
familiars, only actual heroes with Hero sheets.
