We all know how "swingy" the game's difficulty can be. What cards do you feel contribute most to that variability?

Normal objective _________ ?
Hard Objective _________ ?
Crossfire Event _________ ?

Crossfire events in my opinion.
Some of those at the wrong time can end a game that was going kinda good.
Like lots of black enemies and then an event that boosts them al up.

Normal obstacle: Probably Ork Bounty Hunter. A real pain to kill, however it offers the best normal reward.

Hard obstacle: Of course GODwire. If you draw it on the crossfire mission is almost game over. On the extraction it's quite manageable.

Crossfire event: One hot minute(?). The event that makes you solve 2 crossfire events. I house-ruled it out of our games(and I really dislike house-rulings)

The most difficult is to realize that there is a subtle difference between difficulty that is carefully set up for you to test your wits and the difficulty that just random things stacked up in disguise of a "challenge".

It's not that any particular card is "hard". It's the unpredictable combinations of them.
