I´ve played the revised edition two times now and it is freaking awesome.
I only played two 2 player games but as with so many games, we forget to move the turn marker up.

So I had the idea of putting numbered cards in between the political cards that
have a round number and the last card has the text "last round".
So in a two player game we put a card between every two cards, and a round
number card between every third one if we play with more players.
This makes the game even more streamlined and easy for everyone to
see what round it is and nobody has to remember to put move the round token.

For example:
We put the "First round card" as the fourth card in the political pile (in 3-6 player game).
So after the first three cards have been drawn and the political card is being chosen everyone see´s the "first round card".

Im not sure I managed to explain it simply. English is not my first language.
Enjoy.

A decent idea, but unnecessary in my opinion.
If ever the need arisies (i.e. you are in doubt) you can just count the used politics card and see where what round you are in.

I think its very nice and easy, and there is no
doubt how many rounds we are playing since we
have a "last round" card inserted before the game starts.
And it is much more obvious than the small token, and the round
token could move accidentally. Im thinking of adding some awesome
flavor text to the cards.

You could also just have a reminder card that says "advance round marker" on the front and place it back on top of the Politics cards after you take the new ones off. I do a similar thing in The Castles of Mad King Ludwig. I put a coin on top of the deck to remind me to put coins on the leftover buildings before dealing off new ones.
