Can you be more specific? What is it about her that you think needs a house rule? I don't see any reason to house rule Belle, she works fine.

I only see her having an advantage at higher player counts.

However Ghost playing his first card face down is also too strong. And Django's ability is too strong. Doc too. Cheyenne as well. Tuco is quite powerful too.

Shoot her when you can. Then shoot her again for good measure.

Indeed.

I've come to the point where I find every single of their abilities quite powerful if correctly used, except maybe for Tuco.

But I've played a couple of games with the game designer, in which he always chose Tuco, claiming he was his favourite. Guess what ? He won.

I always chose Tuco when teaching the game. He's a good handicap for an experienced player.

First of all: The game is short enough and chaotic enough for me to not really care about balance.

And then: We've had this discussion before. The consensus I found about this is that Django and Tuco are a bit less powerful because both their abilities don't benefit themselves, while all the other powers benefit the other characters.

But as somebody said, you can still win with the other characters.

I don't see anything wrong with belle, but if you HAVE TO house rule something, maybe you could say that IF she does get shot, she drops her lowest valued bag. Only BAGS can be dropped.

I agree that Belle is perhaps the best caracter. Personally I would not change anything. However a variant, to make her less powerful, would be that his power only applies against shoots and not against punches (or vice versa).

Yes indeed! And though I want to have a real chance to win against her, we play a houserule discribed (see Edu's variant below)...

... is the variant I prefer! Cause you even have only one punch-card - that's enough advantage for her!!!

And most of all: Who would ever punch a lady (if you have the choice) ;-P
