This expansion makes 1830 playable with 7 players. (source)

The configuration is :
Starting cash : 360
Cert. limit : 11
The optional 6T is used
One more company, the Pere Marquette, is used and starts in Windsor/Detroid

Do anyone has any experience or idea about how good/bad it is to play with 7 seven players using Pere Marquette ?

Wow! This would make things really tight. The C&A would either be a huge bane or a godsend, not sure which. **If** you could get the money, I'm not sure you'd be able to get a second company. Maybe the others could twart you by starting all the other companies at $67??

I'd like to play it a couple times. Is it worth replaying after you find the tricks, though?

$ 360 do not change too much in he first round. One player still gets the option to open the PRR for $ 67 or 71. Any further company needs at least two players.

The question is whether the Pere Marquette change the track development for the C&O.

Of course one additional company on the Southern half trying to get to New York (or at least to some money area) make token placement there even tougher and token wars more fierce.

I would like to give this variant a try or two or three

Ciao

9 companies, 7 players. Figure much like 6P: 3 companies in SR1 and all going to the players with no or only small privates.

As-is typical in 6P, the 2Ts will run at least twice and quite likely 3 times. Some 2Ts running four times is possible.

Like 6P, company dumps will tend to be quick, early and non-fatal: a fine company with a good position and reasonable tokens and trains and treasury traded for a company with none of that, but full of money.

~SR4 should see a small rush of companies, at least 3 or 4 more. Expect lower pars.

A fairly safe bet that 1, maybe 2 players will get/float 3 companies. That means that 1 maybe 2 players may never float a company. 1 player may (not likely) end the game having never held a presidency.

If there's no bankruptcy, 8-9 SRs seem likely.

The forbidden forest will be very strong if that player also has opportunity to buy other shares.
