Early in the battle, starting the 2 pm turn, but very tense. Reille's II Corps keeps up the pressure on Hougoumont, but shifts its main weight to the east of it--to La Haye Sainte. II Corps troops are in its garden. Hougoumont itself nearly fell in the previous turn--French guns weakened the garrison, which barely survived the following assault. In their next turn the British raced reinforcements into the farm to stabilize the situation.

Kellerman has shifted his cavalry and guns to the French left--hoping to pin the allied line, pounding it with his artillery and exploit any subsequent weakness.

Milhaud advanced to the north and east--prepared to follow the I Corps, but able to respond to the likelihood of a Prussian arrival. Mouton has actually split his corps--sending an infantry and cavalry division to anticipate the Prussians, while holding the remainder in support behind the center.

Further to the east, the Guard artillery fought a long duel with the allied guns--taking substantial losses (several reduced) but forced Wellington to pull his guns back from the ridge line--with the exception of the Nassauers whose guns heroically stood up to D'Erlon's massed batteries and managed to route (and reduce) two French artillery units. Perponcher is secure in Papelotte, and has thinned out his infantry from the ridge--shifting them to the covered way behind his position to threaten the French right when they assault the ridge.

And at the end of the turn, D'Erlon advanced with his second activation to begin his assault along the ridge. Not facing (the withdrawn) allied guns, he creates a double line in front of Picton's lightly defended advanced position--but realizing that Wellington is husbanding his forces just beyond the crest, chose not to advance further and with his final dice throw, the 1 pm turn ended.
