What are the good 6 cost development card synergies? By this I mean 6 cost developments that synergise well with each other rather than other developments/planets.

There are a few obvious ones such as "Galactic Federation" with any other. Or "Galactic Imperium" with "New Galactic Order". And there's "Pan-Galactic league" with "Genome Project" but what other, perhaps less obvious ones are there?

What about "Free Trade Association" with "Galactic Renaissance"? GR rewards victory chip accumulation that you would likely be pursuing with FTA and both reward having "Artist Colony".

And there's "Galactic Survey/SETI" that could go well with either "Merchant World" or "Terraforming Guild" depending on whether you have settled more production or windfall worlds respectively?

"Terraforming Guild" could synergise well with "Mining Guild" due to "Terraforming Robots" being a Terraforming card and also a good consumer for rare goods.

Any comments or further suggestions? Apologies if there is already a similar discussion already.

SETI is good with basically any tableau, so it "synergizes" with all the 6devs.

Other synergistic pairs:

Written without looking at the post above mine - read it afterwards and I agree.

Well with a couple of exceptions 6 cost developments don't synergise directly with each other, but synergise indirectly because they they have overlapping scoring. There is some synergy of powers but I don't think synergy of powers is better in other expansions.

Some thoughts:

Galactic Federation + New Economy - Galactic Federation scores for developments and makes it easier to get them down. New Economy scores 2 for every development with a consume power, and there are plenty of developments with consume powers - Public Works for instance is worth 4 points if you have these two.

Pan-Galactic League + Galactic Imperium / New Galactic Order / Imperium Lords. Whilst Pan-Galactic League has -1 military so makes it harder to get down military worlds (unless you use Contact Specialist) Pan-Galactic League scores well with a military tableau - 1 point per military world and 1 per green world (you're likely to have at least one. Obviously it reduces New Galactic Order's score by 1 but it's still almost always worth playing with a military tableau.

Galactic Survey: SETI - goes well with almost any tableau, so you could argue it synergies with any 6 cost development that scores for worlds, but probably scores best with a military tableau since these tend to contain more explore powers - so synergies well with Pan-Galactic League / Galactic Imperium / New Galactic Order / Imperium Lords. The explore power can help with finding more military cards. Also wokrs wel with Terraforming Guild as Terraforming Guild is good if you want to settle lots of worlds.

Mining League & Free Trade Association - I don't think these two really have much synergy with any other 6-cost, partly because I want to use their consume powers as soon as possible. Free Trade Association's card generation can fund another 6-cost and Galactic Renaissance would be a good one - though I rarely worry about anything other than the fact it scores 1VP for every 3VP chips - the other 3 cards are nice if you have them. Making artist colony worth 6VP would be nice though!

Any tableau that focuses on planets I guess; If you were development spamming, perhaps with "Galactic Federation", then I guess it would be less useful.

Of all your listed synergies, I can't really see any obvious benefit of "New Economy" and "Trade League". At least it seems rather minor. But the others are all great, cheers.

Even then SETI will be worth a minimum of 4 points (1 for your start world, 1 for itself, increase Galactic Federation's score by 2) and likely a bit more if you've leached some settles or put down another dev with an explore power - with dev spam I've played 6 cost devs for 4 points just to end the game quickly.

I guess it's subtle, but they typically go very well together IME.

Trade league gives you cards for the mid-cost developments that score for new economy and also counts as +2 points.

It's worth knowing developments that pair well with 6 costs in general. For instance, mining league works for three 6 costs (four including G-Fed) and is very afforable.

I think you mean the 3-cost dev, "Mining Conglomerate", not the 6-cost dev Mining League.

Mining Conglomerate is the only card in RFTG + TGS which scores 2 points for New Economy and Trade League (excluding Trade League itself). Galactic Advertisers from RvI is the only other mid-cost development I can see with trade and consume powers. I agree that Trade League and New Economy can work well together, but usually when I play Trade League I'm not thinking about how well it will score, but playing it for it's powers and relying on it's card draw to get down cards that will score big.
