Do you think it would work to just use the same number of bases as the number of players? So 5 players would use 5 bases and 6 players would use 6 bases or for 6 players should I just leave it at 5 bases to keep the speed going? I'm thinking about maxing it at 5 bases even at 6 players as it would probably be the best idea.

Honestly, at 6 players, I think you are best off breaking it up into two separate games. If you insist on one group, I think your max 5 bases idea is a good one.

Bad idea. The game becomes too random and not fun.

We very rarely play 6 players games but 5 players we play. I'm thinking at 5 I should just leave the base count at 5 and forget the +1 from the rules.

Break it up into two, because at that size most bases basically only get one minion from each player before it breaks, and that makes for a dull session IMO.

In my experience the game is best at 3 players.
Personally I prefer 2 over 4 players.

I agree. By the time your turn comes around, everything changes, and it takes so long for your turn to come up.

I agree. 4 makes it a little too long, I couldn't imagine going over game max to play 5 or 6.
