So I've spent hours looking at BGG and reddit threads about this, but I still don't know if I understand it correctly.

Could someone check if I got this correctly.

I enter a Mage tower at night, flipping it revealing a Fire Golem.

It has 4 Armor, fire and physical resistance.

My cards give me the oppertunity for 4 Ranged and 3 Fire Sieged.
Neither does anything for me.. Ranged is unusable because of Fortified, and the 3 fire siege is halved due to fire resist.. I would need 8 Fire siege, 8 physical siege or 4 Ice siege to defeat them now.

Now the block / damage.. They have 3 fire brutal. I need 3 Ice block or 6 physical or fire block to block this or take 6 damage (2 wounds with 3 armor)

Now I can attack.. I can do 3 fire and 7 physical total.

Fire is halved, rounding down - 1 damage. Physical is halved, rounding down 3 damage. Giving me exactly 4.. The fire golem is defeated.

Correct? The whole block vs. armor is sliiiightly confusing.

Why for this life there's no man smart enough, life's too short for learning every trick and bluff.

Almost.

You total all the inefficient attacks before halving and rounding, so your 3 fire and 7 physical would do 10/2 = 5.

You deal 5 damage. Otherwise, seems right.

Ah.. So you kind of group equally inefficient values together as one big chunk.. Good to know

Thanks all

Best way to think of it is to simply not round at all. One card does 3.5 damage, the other does 1.5 damage. Together, they do 5.

Or just double the armor of the enemy!!!

Also note that you can combine these with Ice attacks which will be efficients!

That's the last thing you should do, as that directly conflicts with abilities that reduce armor.

Just stick with the rules.

No. That doesn't account for efficient attacks or armor-modifying abilities.
