My wife and I recently moved and have been under a fair amount of stress lately b/c of that and some other issues. I want to have something delivered to her office. The de facto choice is typically flowers, but she has very bad allergies to pollen so that is out. I also thought about edible arrangements but she doesn't eat fruit. Any other ideas?

Ummm...that's tough.

Chocolate? (But maybe she doesn't eat chocolate either)
Plastic flowers? (They look a bit tacky I guess)
Balloons? (The bright colors can be distracting at work)
A card? (But what if she is illiterate?)

I'm out of ideas.

Perhaps a nice lunch? For me, that would be pizza, but you could get something from someplace nice and bring it to her at lunchtime.

Yes, my wife always appreciates a lunch date at one of her favorite lunch places. Doesn't need to be a surprise.

Along the same line as fake flowers, some type of desk art. fancy photo frame or a light powered dancing flower?
balloons/teddy bear delivered? not sure what kind of gal your got but a select few would like that. [ooo idea totally ninja'd]

idk how much more info ya got for us, whats your go-to gift medium? money, time, event, location, things, food?

Thanks for the ideas. Lunch is out b/c we work quite a distance apart. She isn't really into expensive jewelry or stuffed animals. I like mafman6's idea of something for her desk... off to ThinkGeek...

Yup, I've been very successful with thinkgeek. It helps that my soon-to-be wife is a tech-ed teacher. As for the lunch, if your lucky enough to know her schedule and if she has any go-to lunch choices you could order her lunch delivered. Most places are able to have an order placed and paid for and then all you have to do is to be sure to order early enough. The jimmy johns I used once is most certainly not freaky fast.

First order of business if if she would even appreciate a public gift.

I know my wife would not enjoy it if I made a spectacle of her like that.

If you don't know if she would like take kindly to such a gesture, might be worth inquiring first.

Plastic flowers! Beautiful, pretty much the same price - no allergies/water/plant food/dying. She can rotate them with any others you may send her or have at home. All that's required is the occasional vacuum to suck the dust off.

I agree with frumpish. I personally would rather prefer a privately-given gift instead of a public gift.

My ideas:

Cookies or cupcakes
Spa day/massage
A fabulous boardgame
A romantic gift coupon/certificate

Yeah, but then you'd have to invest in a spade, pick axe, shovel, wheelbarrow, etc. Too expensive.

Well, some ideas ninja:

1. A boyfriend. Great benefits for you since you don't have to be the one worrying about paying attention to her all the time. You can spend more time playing that which cannot be named here.

2. A Vodka subscription (one a day for a year).

3. Opioid Prescription or her choice.

4. Depending on your state, maybe an ongoing supply of MJ.

or... maybe... some of the suggestions above.
