4 player Game

Not sure if we did this correct but players occupied most of their home continent territories by putting one unit in their areas gaining the company cards. Not sure if they just can claim the companies they own in there home territories?

This meant most players, with a few extra company cards, had enough resources. This meant the stock market was at the bottom for most of the game as everyone was selling.

At the end of the game if counting net worth. Should not closed companies be worth nothing?

One of out players won the game by having loads of companies some of which were closed.

ABMs would it not be better is ABMs were used up like ICBMs?

It sounds like you were playing the game incorrectly. Unfortunately, without a video replay of the game, it is not possible to see where the mistakes were made without asking lots of questions. All we can do is ask questions.

To start:
How many companies did you start the game with?
How did you determine which companies that you started with?
How did you get new companies?

Please be as descriptive as possible.

1 &,2 each player started with 3 company cards that were randomly dealt

3: players used one set of resources to attack from their home country (as it was their home continent with no other forces) basically move into new areas gaining the cards that were allocated to that country.

I think this is where the rules misunderstanding occurred.

When a player takes over a new area, they do not automatically get the cards for that area. The cards have to be "Researched" in the Buy phase.

ABMs cost twice as much to build as ICBMs and do not even destroy them 100% There more expensive to research too! I don't think they'd be very good at all if they were used up.

ABMs have three great uses: The player who has the most has the High Technology advantage (can re-roll attack dice that land on (3) three); ABMs *can* prevent loss from ICBM attack; and they don't get destroyed when they are used, unlike ICBMs.

They are pricey to research and twice as expensive as ICBMs to build, that's the breaks.
