Here's a tutorial I made for quickly creating really nice tokens for your games and prototypes Hope you find it helpful

It's not an issue, he just has a South African accent.

That's really helpful. Makes me want to add tokens to a game now.

:\ I meant I can't hear it, even when I go directly to youtube and look for it.

Nice job!

If you don't mind, I'll summarize for those who can't watch youtube.

1. Print out your artwork on paper. Thick paper works better.
2. Punch out the artwork. There are various craft paper punchers.
3. Affix the punch-out onto some kind of thicker media.

In your case, the art, the puncher, and the media are all 1 inch (25mm) circles. I like the media you're using here -- clear epoxy self-adhesive "cookies" that adhere onto the face of your punch-out and allow the art work to be seen through it. So the art is protected by that "cookie".

Only thing I'd add is sealing the bottom / back-side of the token, which may make it easier for the token to glide on the board ... and improve the bond between paper and medium.

There's an alternate method described in the DIY forum, and it involves printing on paper or using full sheet sticker paper, and placing the entire sheet onto thick chipboard. The grayboard would be too thick for the craft paper punch you use, so this method uses a hand punch ("arch punch") tool. It looks like a big chisel, but the "blade" is a sharp circular shape. And you would be using a hammer to punch tokens out.

The method I use is different from yours and the arch-punch:

- I print the designs out onto full sheet label/sticker paper.

- I use craft paper punchers like you. I have a couple of different sizes: a 1-inch circle, and a 1.5-inch "circular gear". (I would have bought a 1.5 inch circle, but the gear shape was on a clearance sale)

- my "media" also varies:
--- AC Moore and other craft stores sell wooden circles. (they have both 1-inch and 1.5 inch ... but since they sand/polish these, they end up being slightly smaller)
--- Poker chips (typically 1.5 inch diameter; some have "inner rings" of 1 inch)
--- water bottle caps (again, about 1 inch)

I'm still looking for a good but cheap way to seal these. I've tried spray sealers, but it seems expensive. I'm contemplating mod podge for when I use the wooden discs, but I'm wary of the humidity and the resulting stickiness (I'd end up spray-sealing it)

Specifically, a Cape Town "hipster" accent.

(Most inland South African accents tend to be nasal or guttural; and the latter much harder to understand.)
