Subject: Card play = programmed action ala Colt Express? rss

These seem different to me. In Colt Express you see what others are playing (most of the time) before you play your card and can make some guesses as to what they intend. The "programmed" aspect of it is also quite easy to mess up, or have someone else mess up for you. Fail to account for the punch you saw pushing a person back a room, and you may be unable to shoot them like you intended etc.
In Jamaica each round has each player resolve a single card, that was chosen from just three without knowing what anyone else chose from their hand of three. With only a single card played by each player in the round of Jamaica you'll probably be able to get where you intend although someone else may get there first.
