FFG's CEO back in January last year:

Quote:
Due to the complexities and uncertainties of production, development, and logistics, we will never be able to avoid having a few products that face delays, yet I am confident that our production staff, developers, and network of manufactures will allow FFG to dramatically improve its release timing in 2006.

Guess Tide of Iron is one of those few products!

I don't mind the revision of release dates by them.
Fantasy Flight Games does try to keep us regularly updated as to
when the products are expected to come out.

They put out excellent products, which is better than just
releasing games quickly or for times sake... Avalon Hill/Hasbro
comes to mind right off.

Thats kinda lame. If Star Wars was delayed 30 days back in 77 would you refuse to see it then? This is going to be a wonderfull WW2 combat game. It WILL be worth the wait.

Runebound

Fury of Dracula

and if you think I would really miss this one you are CRAZY!

But that doesn't mean I wont buy Combat Commander.

The game will ship when it's ready!! I would not have it any other way!!!! A month or 2 extra is no big deal to me!!!! Combat Commander has been keeping me busy! And playing the demo scenarios for Devil's Cauldron has been great!!!!!

I have mini's for everything. I tried to come up with a better senate phase when playing with less than 5 players but in the end, I just stoped playing with less than 5.

My Battlemist(and sails of war) game is much more impressive. You can see pics of both on this site. I have 5 unique hero's for every race.

On their website, they said it got delayed again because of problems with colormatching the unitbases to the units itself.
I'll rather wait another month and have the correct colors than have them rush it out ASAP.

Thanks FFG for giving us the reason for the recent delay.

That's exactly what I think too! I don't mind too if the quality is there... and with FFG you'll never be disappointed! (Arkham Horror, World of Warcraft, Warrior Knight all of them are great!)

Why gamers are always complaining about companies that produce boardgames when they revise the release dates... We just have more time to enjoy many games we already have! So just appreciate this time we have to appreciate Combat Commander for exemple!

Also, is it important to complain about the color of cards and the thickness of counters, and the nmae of the cities on the board etc.... it doesn't change anything on the game play.

These days most of the companies are producing very good boardgames and many of them are overproduced.. means more expensive! So we pay more for our games but we play less because most of us are buying too much games in a year to appreciate at their value!

So thank you FFG, DoW, GMT, Rio Grande, Phalanx for making great and beautiful games!
