Caesar miniatures have released pics of early sculpts for some of their 1/72 scale plastic fantasy series. Those Dwarves look pretty nice, but looks like their Gandalf is a Grey rather than a White version. Pity.

Those dwarves do look fantastic!

I'm not so psyched about the orcs & goblins -- a bit too Games Workshop for my taste. I think I prefer the downtrodden, armored masses that come with the base game.

I also like the Gandalf. How can you tell the color of Gandalf? I thought G kept his silly hat regardless of incarnation, and the fact that he lost it in the movies was a Peter Jackson invention. He kept Glamdring after his death ... might as well keep the hat too.

So how good is the scale matching?

Caesar's historical figures seem rather tall for 1/72 scale, so if these are consistant they should be abour right.
Perhaps you're right, but I find it hard to picture G-t-W wearing a blue hat and carrying a canvas baccy sack.
The female warrior with a round shield might do for Eowyn, but she seems to have lost her dress...
