So why did Days-o-Wonder do Memoir/BattleLore and GMT do C and C?
Not that I'm complaining. All three are great games, just curious.shake

GMT did C&C:A because nobody else wanted to do it.

It was originally meant to have figures, but there were too many different figures to be sculpted for a game that was expected to have limited popularity due to the subject matter.

Also note that the first "C&C" game Battle Cry was done by Hasbro...

Memoir and Battlelore may be the same system but they are cetainly two different games.

I don't think anyone implied any different. They're being grouped here because they share a publisher - basically asking why, of the three most recent games using the same fundamental system and by the same designer, were two of them published by DoW and one by GMT?

It is an odd bird the way this game has come out in 4 different versions with 3 different companies. Thankfully both GMT and DoW have done such nice jobs in supporting this system.
