Howdy,

So I have come to terms with the tokens for combat.

But I understand there are dice for movement. Can someone - hopefully - tell me that these are not stickers? That they are at least printed or preferably etched?

As a bonus question does anyone have any idea how fiddily the game play is? And roughly how long a 2 player game would take? Thanks!

Thanks!

They're going to be really hard to see when they wear / peel off

my Runebound 2E has sticker movement dice. They are from 2005 and have seen many plays. They are 100% fine.

The 3E dice will most likely have recessed faces for the stickers, thus making little-to-no contact on rolling surfaces.

Yeah, they get stuck on square-indented sides to avoid peeling at the edges.

Stickers are much better than printed dice that wear, right?

I'm looking for dice sleeves, but I'm having a really hard time finding small hollow transparent cubes. Looks like you'll just have to suffer.

Mine from 2005 are still looking fine. Are you expecting to be picking at them, or storing them in liquid when not in use?

Sounds like an untapped market to me!

Are you people chewing your dice?
My 2nd Edition dice have stickers and they are still fine after A LOT of plays.

It doesn't seem to be much more fiddly than something like Eldritch Horror. A lot of fiddly...ness comes from sheer number of card decks you have to accommodate.
Time wise, if anything like 2nd Edition. An hour per player is a safe bet.

Only unknown variable in this area are the tokens. Acquiring new gear now demands the acquisition of specific tokens, and depending on how easy or difficult that process is could make things a bit more fiddly. Eldritch, by comparison, only has you track down specific content for set-up, and after that it tends towards card types ("acquire a madness condition," "acquire a ritual spell") vs specific elements. Exceptions exist, of course, but they're the extreme minority.
