Let's not create a new thread for each one, but instead let's mourn them here.

First was Perry v.2.0 now with awesome smart glasses!

Second was Scott Walker, the white guy everyone loved until he opened his mouth.

While each candidate had their shortcomings it is noteworthy that each also were governors with actual political/leadership cred's. We'll see if Cruz and Rubio gain any headway given they have actual policy experience and some foreign policy knowledge (even if their intentions seem a little whackadoodle).

The rise of Fiorina/Carson/Trump shows the power of the outsider and the apparent lack of concern over experience/knowledge of diplomacy/foreign policy/military affairs/legislative processes. Maybe the key to shoring up the nomination is to propose bringing back dueling at high noon.

I had no love for Walker at any time. But, after Beer and Board Games showed a side-by-side of him and The Cruiser from the movie Stripes, I would never be able to take him seriously in any way.

I never cared much for Perry as he was too focused on social issues, but I sure liked Walker. Just wasn't his time I guess.

Now I'm backing Cruz and looking hard at Fiorina's possibilities.

Now that Walker has dropped out, at least I won't have to worry about a giant wall across the Canadian - US border....

though I wouldn't put it past Trump to reintroduce that notion.

I say we create a new thread for each one. Can we really trust someone named Trey?

But, holding the position does not equate to doing it well.

Sure. That is often a subjective evaluation. Many will claim that Texas has done well under Perry and I think it's too soon to tell what legacy Walker will leave in Wisconsin. However, being the chief executive of a State is the closest thing to job training for the Oval Office. Governors typically have a leg up on Senators/Congresspeople.

I just think it's noteworthy that the top three contenders for the GOP nomination are ALL political outsiders.

It would be the greatest, classiest wall ever. That Great Wall in China will have to be called The Merely-Above-Average Wall of China. Our wall will be THAT great. And classy.

It would be classier if there was a casino in every watchtower.
