I've been following Scythe for quite a long time now. I've always thought that the Release Date was scheduled for March 2016. Recently I have heard something about August 2016?

Was I wrong? [Please say 'no'

You were wrong. The Kickstarter starts in October, so there's no way it's done in March.

Yeah, games take a while to make, especially if they have miniatures! In Scythe's case, we've been working on the miniatures since April, so we're way "ahead" of schedule for a typical miniatures game on Kickstarter. But a game like this still needs 4-5 months for production and 2 months for shipping at the very least after you send files to the printer (December is our target for that).

Having played the demo at GenCon, I can confirm it will be worth the wait.
GenCon was really a bust this year for games, so it's really unfortunate that this gem was sort of behind closed doors for limited playtesting. It was clearly the winner of GenCon15 by far.

Can't wait for this KS, and for the game to finally hit my table.

I am confused. The KS says August is the release date but people keep saying October. Which one is it?

If i'm not mistaken,

The KS campaign is October 15(right now!)
The Estimated delivery time is around August 16.
