Here is one of my most recent weekend projects.

A Mexican-style solo game with plenty of skulls and a large wooden die.

My goal was to try handpainting such a die...and to create an entire custom game...with plenty of Mexican skulls

I used birch wood for the other components and decided to make a PNP version of the lot, just for the fun of it.

I actually haven't tested it yet, as I'm still too addicted to Hostage Negotiator when it comes to playing solo games.

However, this was a lot of fun...and I'd love to see your handpainted dice!

I really like the idea of "Games as Art" and this certainly fits the bill. I hope there is or will be some more rules details but the board and die look really good and seem to fit the theme well. Nice job!

I'm glad you like it!

Well, there's not that much to add, really.

You simply place the game pieces on their respective starting spots and roll the die 14 times (+ rerolls).
You can trade resources and gain a few bonuses on the different resource paths.

A simple push-your-luck game with some decisions to make...
