Here is my build of the possible upcoming Cheapass game Tak.

http://www.cheapass.com/games/tak

The pieces are built to the rough specs included the the rules, and colored with fabric dyes.

I was a little skeptical that the asymmetric pieces would work well when laid flat, as I am a little OCD, but it was't an issue at all on the first few play throughs.

Now I just need to figure out how to create a board that is useable as 4x4, 5x5 and 6x6

That looks great! Where did you get the pieces? Make them yourselves?

I just got some wooden scrabble tiles and got the hobby paints out, they are a bit slim though. My board is a 5x5 one side and 7x7 on the other. It's just an old piece of cardboard though, nothing fancy. I found that having a penny or other coin to put in the middle works just as well though.
