Just looking at the scenario, it says for the rocketeer token pool; to remove all the personal effects of rocketeers not being used. So I assume that means to keep in the ones that are going to be used.

However under Rocketeer starting items, it says that the rocketeers start with a ray gun and the card for his or her personal item.

Do you have the ability from the personal item at the start or is it implying that you only get it when you pick up the personal item token?

Thanks in advance.

Rocketeers don't benefit from their personal items unless they are holding them. In the Infestation scenario, Rocketeers start with their personal items, and benefit from them accordingly.

So should all Rocketeer personal items be removed from the token pool?

Otherwise a Rocketeer can end up scanning and revealing a token for a personal item they started the scenario with and already are carrying. Or are some of the face down Rocketeer items supposed to be "duds"?

In this scenario, all personal items are removed from the Rocketeer token pool.
