The Game is "Primordial Dungeon" .

Components : 90 Cards from the "Duelo Primigenio Deck", 4 pawns for each player + Counters




The Duelo Primigenio Deck is composed of 90 cards : six colors , three suits(Rock, paper ,scissors) and numbers from 1 to 5. The main feature of the cards of this deck is that the reverse shows the color of the front

Wow, I'm surprised 90 cards can fit in the tin. I've only had a small 'flick' through the rules, and it looks pretty interesting.

Yes , the size of the cards is 44,5x63,5 mm .
It is more or less half size of a normal card .

We need this size ,because mostly all the games we are designing for this deck, the cards are deployed all around the table , and you will need a big table if the cards were normal size

I like how the game's dynamics have the low numbered cards more useful in the beginning and the higher number cards more valuable deeper in the game. The inability of the pawns to move during the first few turns of the game feels a bit odd--but maybe that's just the way things need to be.

The rulebook is clear, but I think you need to add a rule for situations in which a player can't make a legal move--discarding and drawing seems a natural way to handle it. Simply losing a turn doesn't work because it wouldn't handle a situation in which no player can make a move (maybe lose a turn and if no one can move then all players draw new hands?).

The artwork is nice, but it pre-dates the contest, right?

Hi Ethan,

The beginning is as you say , the way of the game to be started . We thought about including in the setup the building of the firsts rooms of the dungeon , but it could be done following the normal rules of the game.

About the situation when the pawn can not move , the thing is a player can force this situation in the game by choice and something could happen because of that, this will add another level of strategy when playing.
