China expansion was the first AoS expansion from the Steambrothers and it's still one of our favorite. It's always a very challenging map and interaction is usually great. Four players would contend tonight on this map, Marc-André, Martin, Mario and Pierre.

Set up of the game was awful and the locomotive action was choose on fourth position in round 1. Players prefered actions like urbanization, engineer and first build to have a better start with some interesting deliveries. Marc-André and Mario started in the east, Martin in the southeast and Pierre in the southwest region. Surprisingly, Mario began the bets at 1 and then bet again at 5 and choose urbanization. Even if we started this scenario with more money 3 players had to back down on the income track during the income and expense phase. Mario started the bets the same way as round 2 and again won the urbanization action and made some nice loops in the Peking area. Marc-Andre stole some interesting goods from Mario by giving him some income but this way he denied Mario from some high shippings. Pierre and Martin were struggling in their mountainous region as the cost of the terrain is very high and the display of goods was tough in their area. Pierre was able to connect Peking and Russia but it costed him too much shares to build to be very profitable. Marc-Andre and Mario clearly had the lead and were the first to ship for 5 and 6 income. Mario,s score was higher but Marc-Andre again used a low share strategy and they were very close before the last scoring.

This was really an exciting game for our first AoS game of the year and the result was also exciting since Mario and Marc-André had a perfect tie. They builded nice networks with many loops and even if they gave many income to other players they always had goods available for big shippings.

Final scoring:
Marc-André: 97
Mario: 97
Martin: 83
Pierre: 68
