I have been wondering, what people's favorite alignments are, so I've made a poll to see

Poll
1. Favorite, strongest and weakest alignments
  Evil Good Sage Wild
What is your favorite alignment?
What is your least favorite alignment?
Which alignment is strongest?
Which alignment is weakest?
2. What is your favorite alignment combination?
Evil + Good
Evil + Sage
Evil + Wild
Good + Sage
Good + Wild
Sage + Wild

Hehehe... after 16 votes the questions "Which alignment is strongest" and "Which alignment is weakest" is almost perfectly EVEN.

I think that's a pretty good sign for the designers :-)

Agreed, though the sample size is still small.

Not very surprising that Sage is both the best and least liked alignment, since it is the control alignment. Some players like control, many don't.

I don't think anything is weak.

There are some cards that are a tad stronger than others MOST of the time, I'd argue.

For instance Surprise Attack, Time Master, Trihorror, Angel of Death (with Loyality) and stuff like that.

But every card is strong, some just work very well on their own. I don't know if there are (0)-cards with Tribute: Draw a Card. That's ultra strong (IMHO).

Edit: Blue is "trickery" stuff, so people liking to play trickery stuff (combo johnnys ) like blue... those losing against that, dislike blue

Could you guys elaborate why you think Evil/Good is weak and why you think Sage/Wild is strong?

Card advantage will win games in the long run. Sage naturally gains card advantage quite well.
Unstoppable damage wins games, wild excels at this.

Also vs some opponents playing a Scrap Golem and then using upside-down Cave trolls as token Scrap Golems is pretty much an instant win

I don't understand what Cave Toll has to do with Scrap Golems *what do I miss*?

But it does indeed seem like white is least favourite.
I think white is the best color to try to out-survive your opponent and if you combine it with drawing cards, clearing tables or dealing damage, I don't see the problem.

I was attempting to troll your inability to accept the unavailability of token Scrap Golem cards.

Yeah, that was annoying. Even more annoying than ionas' whining about tokens (which can at least be understood and dismissed).

This sample size isn't enough to base huge decisions on, but it is fun to see. I guess I am not too surprised that Sage is the most divisive. As a game designer, I like the spread on weakest/strongest, too.

My question is this: why do people think they way they do about Epic?

Thanks in advance...

- Nathan

Yeah - I wonder why Evil/Good is rated that low... and explanations to that might give you guys inspirations for further cards that SOMEHOW interact with each other (evil / good cards that cross interact, that is).

I played a good-vs-good game with a friend once. It took forever, and at one point we both had triple-digit health. We've both vowed to never do that again.

Yeah my gf played against the Demi-good wild/good one and it was boredom. The standard (darf/open/pack) draft is best.

I've tried avoiding these sorts of posts, but I can't. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: We really don't want to get the legal sledgehammer out. Please, everyone, do not create images that use our copyrighted works (and this includes all aspect of our card frames), and please do not link to other people doing so.
