Is it known which will be the MSRP for the retail version?
Which are to be the main differences from kickstarter basic version?

Ok thanks, I didn't used to buy via kickstarter but this project is truly awesome and seems to worth it.

My understanding is that promos will be available separately later, but at addition cost. It makes sense to pay less and get the promos included with the game. I am confident that they will further enhance the game.

Jamey,

Is it just the standard edition that would be available for retail after the KS?

Thanks!

Yes, with the exception that some retailers are backing on Kickstarter. They can buy any edition they want and sell them to their customers.

In addition I think that the addons will likely be for sale on the Stonemaier Games website.

It seems that the promo pack which comes with the 59$ pledge will cost 20$.

100$ value minus MSRP of 80$ = 20$

I don't know how you are able to offer everything you are offering for the KS-Pledge prices you have, Jamey. The KS price seems way too good and reasonable, heh!
surprise

Thanks David: It's my reward to backers for pledging their hard-earned money 10 months before they'll get the game.

No. The FAQ on the KS page states the $15 shipping credit is included in the "total value" calculation. So if MSRP is $80, then the promo pack is being valued at $5 ($100-$80-$15=$5).

Realistically, assuming a standard 30% retail discount and free shipping, I'd say we're looking at around $56-60 for Scythe when it hits the stores. Save a few bucks and hold on to your money for another year. No worries about losing out on exclusives since there aren't any. Then again, the money-back guarantee on the KS editions is rather nice and somewhat unique in my experience.

Cynically, I think many KS have you pay a higher pledge than if they didn't have stretch goals. Dakka calls it "putting the miniatures back in the box". I think Stonemaier Games is following the alternate philosophy of providing serious value up front. Sorta like unlocking pretty much all of the SG's on day one and not having you go through the SG dog-and-pony circus.
