Ok for example I have a chit telling me obj no 5 is worth 7vp. When do I reveal this? If the enemy controls obj 5 at game end does he get the 7vp that was my secret chit?

(Only just got game read through rules 3 times and this is only query I have)

All secret objectives are revealed 99% of the time at the end of the game. The only time that is not the case is when a Reconnaissance Event occurs. This forces his/her opponent to reveal a secret objective and immediately grants the owner the VP.

Yes, either player can get victory points from a secret objective chit regardless of which player drew it. See rule 6.3.2: "players must reveal any secret Objective chits and award their VPs to the current controller."

There is no such chit in the game.

Well said Mark.

Euron.
No question is pointless, especially in the mind of the person asking. -Right
By the way, it's your game - if you want a chit giving 7vp for Obj No. 5 - that's your call.

I don't have the game (yet - grrr) so I cannot substantiate David's observation, but quite frankly, that's not a problem really, is it?

That's not trues and David's comment was unecessary.

There are chits that say "Objective X is worth Y VP" which range from like... 1 to 4 VPs, so the question is a valid one.

I guess no comment is "necessary". I thought it would be helpful for him to know that he's (apparently) misreading or misinterpreting the chit. If not, well, sorry about that.

Though it is true that no single objective chit will result in a particular location being worth 7 pts., there are many combinations of 2 or more objective chits that will cause that to happen.

I'll take a stab at actually answering your questions.

Quote:

Only a few chits don't have a secret side and must be played as open. If it has a secret side you reveal it at the end of the game. If it's an open chit it awards victory points immediately upon taking it or when ownership changes (7.3.3).
Quote:

Yes. The objective chits assign VP's to mapboard locations and not to players. As stated in 7.3.2 it give VP's to its controller.

The best example to answer you questions is in the gray box at the bottom of the center column on p.7 which states:
Quote:
Some Objectives may be worthless at the end of the game. Players should still try to take control of all Objectives on a map in case the opponent's secret Objectives includes one or more valuable ones.

I'm doing what the rules state on p.3 by not reading anything into them that's not there. So if it doesn't specifically state that a hidden objective is only awarded to one player, then per the rules it's awarded to the controller.

Cheers.

Thanks to all who answered my question and didnt give sarcastic remarks!!!

As I said for example when I said something was worth 7 vp , I was at work without the rulebook and typing fast before the boss caught me!!

I now understand how the objectives work.
