i will be getting in some Battlestations board game minis soon, and i'd like to paint them. Any how-tos and/or advice for a beginner painter?

Reaper Miniatures sells introductory paint sets with instructions.
http://reapermini.com/

This is a good guide, very comprehensive:

Thanks for the links!

One more question: has anyone ever used Kel's Magic Sauce (http://www.thewarstore.com/kelsmagicsauce.html)?

That answer and any other recommendations for a starting painter are appreciated!

Yet another question:

My local hobby shop has the Games Workshop Citadels introductory paint kit. Is it any good?

Also, how long does a primer coat, a base coat, etc. have to dry before continuing on a mini?

Thanks!

I use games workshop paints; I like them, even though they tend to cost a bit. After priming, overnight is good. You can do it earlier, but ive had problems with trying to paint after the primer has dried for only a few hours.
