I have uploaded a playtest version of the map to the files section.

Some notes on the map:

Large area displaying Guadalcanal is not the same scale as the rest of the map so it provides more detail close in. The area movement zones around Guadalcanal show locations where Air to Ground attacks will occur to bomb/strafe land forces and naval forces attempting to resupply Guadalcanal. As you go further out from Guadalcanal - these zones are for searching and/or bombing attacks on Japanese Naval Forces and Seaplane bases in the area. All zones are available for air combat between the opposing forces.

Time is tracked on a 24 hr clock on the game map which also tracks the campaign day. Time is resolved by player actions down to 5 mins for an action on main board but could be 30 mins/1 hr depending on what is being done.

There is a space for the current Card that is in play for that campaign day.

The Tactical Maneuvering Grid in the bottom left is where combat is resolved. It could be air-to-air or air-to-ground/sea on this grid as it is multipurpose and tracks up to 5 mins of combat at 1 min intervals.

(So how that works is once a combat occurs on the main map - you mark the location and then resolve the combat with the actual counters involved in the fight - ships, planes etc.) BTW, there is no ship-to-ship combat in the game. Those battles are outside the scope of play. There are other games that model those battles with way less fidelity on the air portion which is the focus of this game to a level of detail that I haven't seen.

Outside the map (i.e. not shown) are the actual displays for Henderson Field and Fighter-One airstrips. These displays will be where your planes and fuel are dispersed and for resolution of bombardments by Jap ships and air attack results on the field. Both are normal sheet size 8.5x11 displays.

Anyway - just wanted to provide some details on the map and what it will be used for.
