Nice! Thanks for posting.

At first glance, this appears to do the two things I want it to:

1) Change enough components to make the game fresh.
2) Add some variance between plays so that each play of the expansion feels a little different, instead of the "sameness" that the base game has.

I'm definitely interested in trying this.

The new player boards interest me way more than the coal module. The coal portion seems to be almost an entirely new game slapped on to an already existing game, rather than adjusting or altering the game in a fundamental way. I Guess it is hard to judge without playing, but coal seems extremely powerful and would now become the focus when playing with it.

New player boards though, that I am all about.

There's gonna be a huge race in getting the desired track extensions. I can bet my bottom dollar that the extension with the "?" bonus on the #4 spot will almost always go out first.

100% Agreed about the player boards and getting that early "?" piece. Should be interesting to see which new strategies emerge.

The German rails and coal modules look interesting, but the solo variant seems really lazy

$30 seems like a lot for some new player boards.

Yeah, Zman games apparently changed their website today. Their products are still up (http://www.zmangames.com/store/p93/German_Railroads.html), but no rulebooks are online; at least yet.
