Scenario 7 lists the Allies as Defenders, and the Axis on Recon. All other scenarios are either Attack/Defend, or Recon/Recon. Is Scenario 7 a misprint, or an intentional deviation from the pattern?

Well, one of the bonus scenarios has both sides as defenders...

The posture of the units (Attack/Recon/Defend) just sets the hand size for that side and enables some special actions (Defender only actions) on some cards.

Nothing mandates that defend be matched with attack - so I wouldn't call "attack/defend" a pattern at all. I suspect the posture is chosen not based on the other sides posture, but to help with scenario balance. Playtest reveals one side needs more or less cards - adjust the posture.

Scenario 7 is correct as written.

Attack-vs-Defend and Recon-vs-Recon may be common but there's no reason why other combinations can't be utilized if the scenario designer deems it to be desirable for the battle being depicted.

Ok, thanks Chad.

We played last night with it as written and things worked out ok (that is to say, I won).

You're welcome.

CC players would do well to remember the above quote. When playing, assume that what is written is correct and move on.

Luckily there has been but a single piece of errata: the word "Action" mistakenly appearing on the top of German card G-48 instead of "Order".
