We had a great time playing Brilliants with 4 players, it was a really fun midsize game.

The game is well balanced with different tactics possible to win as you can choose what kind of objectives you want to go for.

Nice mix of various mechanics: choosing different kind of objectives to score points, moving your ants from your nest to the board and vice versa, blocking the path on the board for opponents and sending in some hefty predators to block your opponents (if you can guess their objective!).

The artwork is very beautitful, lots of colours and nice cartoony images, which add a lot of flavour to the game.
The theme itself is very nicely integrated in the mechanics. You really get the feeling of building and managing a nest of ants.

Brilliants is fun for seasoned players as well as casual players or people new to board-games.
The game was deeper than expected, but still had that nice light feeling to it. You can play with a lot of strategy and really have an interaction with the other players or choose to follow your own path.

Can't wait to play it again!
