ChessieCon (formerly Darkover) is a science fiction convention in Timonium, MD (just north of Baltimore) that also features steampunk, alternate-religion and filk tracks, along with full board/card and video game rooms. Early registration is still open until November 15th, and (at least last I checked) hotel space is still available.
The Game Room will feature scheduled teaching events of games including Revolution, Splendor, Nations and Caverna, as well as a Concardia tournament and open gaming all weekend long.
