Hi All,

This is still a work in progress for a card Randomiser. I'm mainly an Excel puppy, so Google Docs is taking a little getting used to.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18VX46dchQXEG9lNdec4s...

Full credit goes to Derekw for inspiring me!

Right it's late, I'm shattered and the sheet is probably full of holes.

Hi Gavin

No need to thank me

You have saved me a lot of time on the lookup of the random numbers and the card names. THANKS SO MUCH GAVIN . I was stuck doing that

This is one awesome game which I try to play daily with my daughter

Can I ask if there is a way to sort cards based on alignment and then card name ? I store my cards based on alignment and the card names (ascending order)

Thanks in advance for your hard work

Hi Derek,

No problem, always glad to help.

Easy done, highlight all of your data. Go to Data and then sort.
Ensure that you select 'My Data Has Headers'
Choose Alignment in the 1st drop down, then add (a) level, now choose Card Name.

From there hit OK and it should sort the way you've asked. But if you try and do this with before you copy and paste special your data. It will recalculate it, and you'll be back to square one.

This is the problem that you will also hit with Google Sheets.

I have a few more ideas for sorting and card generation, that I want to try.

Also if you (or anyone) would like a copy of the formulas I'd be happy to supply them.

Gavin

Right sorry for the double post, but I've opened the sheet so that anyone can use it.

I'm open to suggestions and will continue to work on it. Feel free to also let me know about any errors, I won't bite....much
