Found this on FFG's website

https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2015/11/3/star-wa...

Looks really sweet, as a full scale star wars game.

I'm kind of surprised this isn't a game about the rise of the First Order and the Resistance struggle...

If it uses a common game system it could be a Gnu Game!

Wow, this looks great. I'm a fan already.

AND it's not kickstarter and all the hoopla that comes with that avenue.

Well done FFG, if it plays solid, you'll have my money.

I thought I wouldn't need another space epic besides Eclipse, ever, but this one I just might. I wonder what the price is going to be though, it looks like even more massive game than Imperial Assault. Edit: It has space AND ground combat, sick! I'm pretty sure this one is going to the wishlist.

The MSRP according to FFG is $99.95. https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/star-wars-reb... So the same as Armada and IA. Should be able to get it around $70 from online retailers.

I'm very excited about this. I spent some time creating a game that used Star Wars Risk (the original, not the one that was just released) as a base and then combat was decided by IA skirmishes. From what little we see, this game may well lend itself to that kind of epic upgrade.

I wonder how FFG is getting this one by Hasbro? It's not a "miniature" game, like IA...

Why are you asking? Are you not sure if you wonder that? Do you want bgg to tell you if you are wondering or not?

I can't believe this--I just landed a copy of Freedom In The Galaxy, which looks remarkably similar to Star Wars: Rebeliion (though SW:R looks to be much more streamlined, and honestly, preferable...)

Can't want to hear more. Where's the BGG entry already?

A couple of friends of mine started playing a game of Freedom in the Galaxy recently.

They were still playing it a week later.

(Not even joking.)

They probably made a distribution agreement with Hasbro without specifying it to be only for IA. Clever. Make the best out of a bad situation.

Yeah, I hadn't actually planned on playing it all that much--just to check it out solo, and if the occasion to actually play it came up...well, that'd just be gravy. But honestly if it did, TI3 would probably come first.

FitG seems to have a lot of good ideas, though, and I hope Corey K took them and made something you can actually get to the table on game night...

I wonder what the play time will be. And how will the different player counts work? How will two players share a side of the conflict?

Can't wait for more previews!
