Turn 13: 17/06, Morning (French morale 3, Allied morale 7)
Weather = Showers, Worsening

(random event = ‘Vive l’Empereur!’ D’Erlon rallies in Fleurus, Kellermann remains broken and Pajol rallies in Tamines.)
Pajol moves through Velaine towards Sombreff as d’Erlon moves to engage Pirch as does Cadre. Exelmans then moves to engage Roeder, with Reille to engage Von Hobe. Gerard and Milhaud then both move to engage Reserve, with Vandamme to engage Hill and Res Art to engage Frederick.

Vandamme attacks Hill, but are themselves routed 6(!) hexes (-1 French morale), failing a hazardous retreat along the way and so breaking (+1 Allied morale), with Hill then advancing after combat. Res Art attacks Frederick, suffering an exchange of troops (morale +/- cancel out). Gerard and Milhaud attack Reserve, routing Reserve 3 hexes, with Reserve making hazardous retreat safely and falling back to Genappe and with Mohaud losing command control and advancing after combat. Further east, d’Erlon and Cadre attack Pirch (in Sombreff), forcing Pirch to withdraw: a hazardous retreat, which they make safely. D’Erlon then moves into Sombreff. Reille attacks Von Hobe, remaining engaged. Finally, Exelmans attacks Roeder, routing Roeder 5 hexes (-1 Allied morale), failing the hazardous retreat roll outside Sombreff and so breaking (+1 French morale), with Exelmans advancing after combat.

Hill moves to woods west of Frasnes, with Uxbridge heading towards Quatre-Bras as Bulow moves east out of Tilly, with Zieten moving north-east of Pirch.

Milhaud disengages from Orange.

Pirch attacks both d’Erlon and Exelmans, remaining engaged. Von Hobe is then forced to attack Reille, but are themselves routed 5 hexes (-1 Allied morale), failing the hazardous retreat outside Tilly and so breaking instead (+1 French morale), with Reille advancing after combat.

Turn 14: 17/06, Mid-day (French morale 4, Allied morale 6)
Weather = Showers, Worsening

(random event = ‘Napoleon’s hat’. French player decides to commit guard for free)
Garde, Gerard and Milhaud all move to engage Orange (in Quatre-Bras, and now surrounded by Zones of Control) as Pajol moves to engage Pirch with Cadre heading towards Tilly.

Garde, Gerard and Milhaud all engage Orange, with all 3 attackers routed: Garde 3 hexes (-1 French morale) back through Frasnes, Gerard 6(!) hexes (another -1 French morale) back to Gilly and Milhaud 3 hexes, somehow making hazardous retreat outside Tilly safely. On top of this, the French also lose a morale point for Garde unable to advance (-1 French morale). Reille then attacks Bulow, routing Bulow 5 hexes (-1 Allied morale) towards Gembloux. Finally, Exelmans, d’Erlon and Pahol all attack Pirch, forcing Pirch to withdraw: a hazardous retreat, which Pirch makes successfully as Exelmans advances after combat.

Hill moves to Frasnes to engage (routed) Garde as Uxbridge moves to Bouseval and Reserve closes in on Quatre-Bras.

Pajol disengages from Pirch, who maintain contact while Exelmans disengages from Zieten, who also maintain contact.

Hill attacks Garde, forcing Garde to withdraw but opting not to advance. Pirch attacks both Pajol and d’Erlon, but are themselves routed 3 hexes (-1 Allied morale), which involves a hazardous retreat which they fail and so break (+1 French morale), with Pajol advancing after combat. Finally, Zieten attacks Exelmans, but are also routed 6 hexes (-1 Allied morale), failing the hazardous retreat rolls along the way to the LoC outside Sombreff and so breaking (+1 French morale), with Exelmans advancing after combat.

Turn 15: 17/06, Afternoon (French morale 3, Allied morale 3)
Weather = Cloudy, Improving

(random event = ‘Conflicting Orders’. Routed marker placed on d’Erlon)
Gerard moves through Gosselies as Cadre moves to Tilly, with Reille and Milhaud both moving to engage Hill. Exelmans then moves up road towards Quatre-Bras, with Pajol also moving up in support.

Reille and Milhaud combine to attack Hill, with both attackers forced to withdraw as Hill declines to advance.

(random event = ‘Damned Good Ground’. Allied player opts to leave Good Ground marker where it is!)
Hill drops back towards Quatre-Bras, with Uxbridge moving west out of Bouseval as Bulow moves towards the road past Tilly.

With no combat or force marching, the Allies then declare this a ‘lull’ turn (+1 Allied morale)

Turn 16: 17/06, Dusk (French morale 3, Allied morale 4)
Weather = Clear, Improving

(random event = ‘Never interrupt your enemy while he’s making a mistake’. Cards reshuffled)
Exelmans moves to the woods outside Bouseval as Pajol moves towards Mont St. Guibert, with Milhaud moving south-west of Exelmans, Reille south-west of Milhaud, Garde towards woods outside Frasnes and Gerard into that location as d’Erlon heads north cross-country.

With no force-marching or combat, the French then also declare this a ‘lull’ turn (+1 French morale)

(random event = ‘Coordination crisis’. Not going to have any effect!)
Bulow moves to engage Pajol as Hill falls back to woods west of Quatre-Bras, and that’s it for Allied movement phase!

Pajol disengages, with Bulow maintaining contact.

Bulow attacks Pajol, remaining engaged.

Turn 17: 17/06, Evening (French morale 4, Allied morale 4)
Weather = Clear, Improving

(random event = ‘Napoleon humbugs Allies’. +1 movement given to d’Erlon, Garde and Gerard)
d’Erlon, Cadre and Exelmans all move to engage Bulow as Garde moves into woods outside Frasnes.

Pajol. Exelmans, Cadre and d’Erlon all attack Bulow, forcing the defender to withdraw: a hazardous retreat which they fail and so break (+1 French morale, -1 Allied morale), leaving the Anglo-Dutch all on their own as Exelmans loses command control and advances after combat.

(random event = ‘Rally on Old Nosey!’ Frederick is eliminated for good)
The Allies simply declare this a ‘lull’ turn (+1 Allied morale)

Turn 18: 17/06, Night (French morale 5, Allied morale 4)

The French forces redeploy their line, with Gerard moving west of Garde as Cadre, Exelmans and Pajol all also move west, with d’Erlon heading towards Mont St. Guibert.

Overnight, Vandamme remains broken as Res Art rallies in Frasnes, with Kellermann also rallying in Tilly before the French forces regain a single morale point from rest (+1 French morale)

Allied player again decides to fore-go their movement phase.

Overnight, Bulow rallies in the LoC outside Sombreff, Pirch remains broken, Zieten rallies in Wavre, Von Hobe is eliminated, Thielmann rallies in Chappelle St. Lambert as Roeder is eliminated for good before the Allies drive down the French morale by 1 for holding Quatre-Bras (-1 French morale) and then regain 2 points from rest (+2 Allied morale).
