I started this thread for two reasons.

1. To post a list of to-do's so I don't forget.

2. To have a place for people to suggest changes and report bugs. The plan is for zero defects. This means I will always fix known defects before adding new features.

Bugs:


New features planned:
o Indicate nightfalls in the inverted tally
o Create a Bobtally Add Game thread to allow mods to set up a game without me
o Majority rules voting support
o Support modKiwi like posting of votes - bolded without brackets.
o Geekmail notifications
o Web site


Suggested features:
o Moderator ability to edit chats before closing the game.
o Show replacie/replacer in player list rather than just listing as "replaced"


Implementation changes planned:
o Add poll throttle based on last time there were new messages
o Refactor data access code into a common repository
o Verify auth cookie has not expired before posting to BGG
o Change to poll on schedule rather than relying on postQueue messages from parse service
o add poison message queue
o log poll/post non 200 results

New command:
[autodusk YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS]
You will specify the date/time of the next auto dusk in ISO8601 format without a time zone offset or Z. You must use a 24 hour clock format. The time will automatically be parsed as a Central Time Zone time.
Eg. [autodusk 2015-12-25T13:00]
o (added 2015-12-21) Claims - record players claims and a way for players to list the claims.
New commands:
[claim Some Claim Here] this will add a claim for the posting player into the database.
[claims] when this is posted a claims list will be posted to the thread. This is the only time they will be posted, there is no auto posting of claims.

[replace Old Player Name with New Player Name]
"Old Player Name" is not case sensitive but must be full username
"New Player Name" must be the case correct BGG username.

o (added 2015-11-05) Change mod parsing so commands don't need to be bolded individually
o (added 2015-11-05) Post DAWN/DUSK times with tally

"anystringhere" will be posted verbatim as the Lynch Time and/or Night Deadline time in the tally after the "Lynch Time is" and "Deadline time is" text prefixes.

With Trigun being this lock consensus good read for so many people, I find it really bizarre that she's alive. There's a threshold where if she's still alive she should probably be murdalated.

Got it. They're really not listed in any order. But, if people let me know what's more important I'll adjust the list into a priority order.

Eh.. I think brackets are a real pain when posting from mobile. It rarely comes up for me, but when it did, voting was pretty annoying. I think I'd be happy to have the ability to vote without brackets.

It reminds me how many players are in the game/significance of voting.

Hrmm... some tallies must be messed up.

Ok, I will add that to the list.
Exceptions are probably because of incorrect [kill] tags or games where players were brought back from the dead.

If a player is killed mid day, how should that be handled in the tally?

Should it still count the votes?
Should it not count or show?
Should it show but not count?

should it be an option?

So, question on Unvote... should it show the unvote in the inverted tally?

I'm going to be using a vote number for an unvote, so it can show that in the inverted tally, or I can just not show it.

Hmm. I wouldn't mind it showing the unvotes. When I'm trying to sequence tally changes in my head from just looking at the tally, it can be difficult to know at what point an unvote occurred, so I can't figure out without manually going through and checking the thread history to see when it occurred.

I don't know whether others review tallys like that, but I'm normally doing it from D3 of a reveal game, if not sooner. So the middle one would be my preference.
