Looking at these two feats, Blessed Aura seems manifestly worst of the two, as all Heroes in short range will always include all adjacent friendly models. Am i missing something?

Blessed Aura
All adjacent friendly models heal
1 wound.

Blessing
All friendly Heroes in Short
range heal 1 wound

I guess if you wanted to be an uber healer you could take both at higher lvls, but why would you take Blessed aura first? Does 'friendly models' apply to any non hero models, like an NPC you have to escort etc?

I truly hope you're missing something because this seems pretty ridiculous.

Consider the similar issue with the abilities Hammertime and Smash! the first one reduces enemies armor to your fight attack by 1 while the second reduces it by 2. They are shared on the same trees so I guess you can stack them for a -3 to opponent armor.

Another consideration:

Evil heroes i.e. Bosses have feats too. The ability to heal minions that have wounds (practically everything else than undead and orcs) can come in handy. Especially as bosses are quite often alone with just minions.

You can only use a feat once per adventure, so it's for if you want the ability to heal multiple times during an adventure. So yes, you'd go for blessing first, and if you wanted to use a similar but slightly weaker feat later in the adventure you have the option of blessed aura

That one-time only Feat rule is another one that I easily missed in the actual rules section until I was reading through the stock character cards pdf and they have it clearly marked in red for each Feat, "Once per game".

I had read it in the rules alright, but where it's placed (pg 73) reads like flavor text rather than formal rule instruction.

Added to the fact that the same stock character profiles in the AC don't call it out as one-time only is another poor disparity between print material.

The Race profiles also don't specify that they are one-time only either.

Regardless, good spot/explanation Sam.

but still, why make two feats that do the same thing, only one is waaaay stronger that the other one?
